This past Sunday, we drove two hours to Cleveland to attend Holiday Circlefest 2014. This would be the first time we attended this annual event, and certainly won’t be the last. There was so much to see and so much to do for so little time. All the museums were free. We spent hours at the Museum of Natural History that we didn’t even get to spend time at all at the Children Museum. We listened to this amazing Holiday orchestra brought by middle schoolers and high schoolers. Those kids were amazing!!! Then the kids went crazy checking out those dinosaurs and weird looking animals throughout the museum.
After we were done with the Museum of Natural History, we stood in line for the carriage ride. The carriage ride was free (again… A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!). However I just wished there were more than just one carriage. Finally we got our turn and the kids (of course) spotted the train ride. After we were done with the carriage ride, they insisted in going to the train ride. We were circling around to find where the line started, and turned out we had to go to this wonderful greenhouse. The greenhouse was filled with these amazing gingerbread house. I have never seen such an amazing creativity all around:
Even though it took us two hour driving to get there and two hour back, but my kids had a blast and that’s the most important thing. The only drawback (besides there was only one carriage) was this event is one day only and it’s on Sunday! There was so much to do and see, I think it needs to be more than one day. It’s also hard for my kids to do all these activities when they have to go to school the next morning. Needless to say I would love to go back to this event again, but still haven’t figured out how to work it out with the school thing.
