Hunting for a Kids Bookshelf

May 19th, 2011

In preparing the nursery for the arrival of our baby in just a couple of months, I’m currently looking for a kid’s bookshelf for an extra storage.  Currently the nursery theme is in Winnie the Pooh and I’m planning on changing it once the baby turns 3 and ready for the “big kid’s room”.  When my son was a baby, we bought this Puzzle Bookshelf by Kidkraft that I love so much.  Not only it’s in neutral theme, I also like the shape and the size is also perfect.  Not too small and not too big, just enough to store his extra books and stuffed animals.

There are so many cute bookshelves but none of them are in neutral theme.   It’s very important for me to get a neutral theme because the bookshelf has to go along with whatever theme we end up choosing once we turn this nursery into “the big kid’s room”.  These are what I’m currently eying for:

Fire Truck Bookcase by KidKraft

Teamson Kids - Children’s Sunny Safari Bookcase

Aren’t these two adorable? Again, the problem is these bookshelves are not in neutral theme.  It would make more sense if I buy the Fire Truck Bookcase by KidKraft for my son’s bedroom because that is his bedroom theme, and put this Puzzle Bookshelf by Kidkraft back in the nursery.  But then I’ll feel guilty for buying my son’s a new stuff and already giving a “hands me down” bookshelf to our baby, even before he’s born.

O my O my…. what a dilemma!  What should I do?

I think that’s a good idea… Don’t feel guilty :-) It helps reduce the earth waste :-) Recycling is good :-) i like the fire truck bookcase too… or if you want to see the puzzle book shelf, let me know then u can buy 2 bookshelves :-)

Thanks flo… I might end up buying the firetruck bookshelf. It’s not fun having the exact same bookshelf for both rooms… :)
