Unleashed Your Creativity
Unlike dads, moms love handmade! Kids drawing, poems, arts and crafts, scrapbook, some photographs, even homemade cookies or breakfast. You name it…we love it! Handmade gifts require an efforts and deep thoughts, so you can never go wrong in giving a handmade items as long as it comes from your heart. One of special gifts from my husband that I keep dearly in my heart was when he baked cookies for Valentine’s Day. Of course, that was prior to having our children. I appreciated it dearly because he doesn’t cook let alone bake. So to do something like that definitely made me feel extra special. :)
Pamper Her
Sending her to get a relaxing massage, mani pedi, facial or a hair cut at her favorite salon are definitely on the top list of favorite Mother’s Day gifts. Being a mom is the toughest job ever. A little pampering moment shows that you really care.
Give her a break
Take the kids out for a fun day and let mom has her “me” time. About a few weeks ago, my husband took both our kids to a nearby park and I opted not to go for no reason. They were gone for a couple hours while I lay down on my bed and watched Real Housewives of Atlanta. Live couldn’t be any better! When they were back, my oldest son asked me what I’ve been doing all day. I basically said with a huge smile on my face, “Absolutely nothing. Just enjoying a little peace and quite at home”.
My advice to husbands…. don’t underestimate the power of Mother’s Day, because that’s the only day moms feel super special and appreciated. Happy Mother’s Day!
