Letting off Your Steam

September 19th, 2012

People ask me all the time what’s so intriguing about blogging.  To me, blogging is not just about telling you what I ate today, what my kids were up to these days.  Blogging means so much more.  It’s my way of expressing how I appreciate lives on good days and learn mistakes on bad days.  Unfortunately blogging is also my way of venting off.  People needs to express their emotion in one way of another.  Some go shopping, some put their emotion in a song, others seek consolation from their peers by hanging out all night long… leaving his/her family behind.  When I’m mad, sad, angry, happy… I write.  At the same time, I’m also a very private person.  How do I put my frustration in writing without revealing too much to the world?

That’s what blogging community is for.  There are tons of blogging community out there that you can join for free.  Not only you get to network with fellow bloggers, you can vent off your frustration by contributing in a guest blog.  Your husband is not going to find out all the nasty things you said about him, your friends and family is not going to wonder what’s happening with your marriage, and better yet… your blog gets some exposure from the blogging community member.  What’s not to love?

As a human, we have to express our emotion.  There is nothing wrong with letting off our steam as long as it’s legal.  Adele won Grammy Awards from the song she wrote about a man who cheated on her.  An ugly duckling mom turned into a beautiful swan by putting her anger into exercise and eating healthy after her husband left her for another woman.  The key is to find ways to turn your frustration into something positive, and before you know it…. you’ll be the last one to laugh!!
