As I had mentioned in previous post, one of my goals this year is decluttering my house by getting rid of stuffs we no longer need. Earlier in the Spring, I sold a bunch of bulky baby items such as baby swing, bouncer, jumparoo, and many more at Three Bags Full consignment sale. Consignment sales are usually held twice a year, Spring and Fall. As a consignor, you set your own price, tag your items, and sell them. You take 65% of items sold minus consignment fees, and 35% goes to the consignment sales organizer.
I was actually pretty happy with the result considering some of them were purchased at garage sale super cheap and I was able to make profit at the sales. Plus, I couldn’t wait to get rid of those baby stuffs that’s taken so much space of my tiny house. Now I become addicted to consigning and am participating again at the Fall sale. This time I don’t have that many baby equipment, but I have a bunch of clothes. This would be the first time I’m selling mainly clothes. I don’t expect to make as much profit as I did last time, since baby equipment tends to sell faster and at higher price. But at least I could get rid of them, right? I’m also very lucky that my girlfriend handed me down all her baby’s clothes that are still in a very good condition. She told me to keep the profit, but I promised her to split it 50/50 if it gets sold.
Based on several tips, clothing as a set sells better. So this is what I did:
