Ever since my son started school, my husband and I decided to switch responsibility. Because he works 5 minutes away from home, he’s responsible in getting the kids ready and take the oldest one to the bus stop and the younger one to the daycare. As a result, I have to leave early in the morning so I can get off from work early enough to get my son from the school latchkey. Once we get home, I prepare dinner while my husband pick up my baby from the daycare. I’m actually liking this schedule a lot better because getting the kids ready in the morning is pretty challenging and stressful.
However, this is what I get everyday when I get home:
Now “the old me” would start yapping around to my hubby because I can’t stand this mess. But “the new me” would take a deep breath, grab a mop or sweeper and start cleaning. Because at the end of the day, you have to pick your battle. You just can’t win on everything. Choose what’s important in your life, be thankful with what you have…all for the sake of parenthood insanity! !
