On the day after Thanksgiving, my friend and I decided to bake and decorate Christmas cookies. I, for one, would love to learn how to bake and decorate cookies with smooth icing and piping technique. In case I hadn’t mentioned in my previous posts, I consider myself as a pretty good cook, but I d.o.n.’t bake for these reasons:
- It’s too time consuming
- Something about measuring that just threw me off
- Nobody in my family eats sugar cookies with icing (including me :-P). We actually prefer plain cookies
Too much time + nobody appreciate it = A complete waste of time
Although I have to say my six year old actually enjoyed decorating cookies….for about 5 minute. Then he got bored and ran off.
And here’s the result:
They actually looked so much better before I brought them home in a Ziploc. Needless to say, I enjoyed hanging out with my friend and her family. However, decorating cookie is definitely not right up in my alley. I wouldn’t say never though. Usually when it comes to throwing my kids birthday party , I would go crazy and tend to push my limit….Those Darn Pinterest!!!
